Characters at the wheel: Uber presents Swiss drivers in new media campaign
After five years of market presence in Switzerland, Uber launched a national media campaign on June 28. The focus is on the drivers who use the smartphone app in Swiss cities.

In the form of portrait photos, statements and online clips, we get to know Jennifer, a young woman with a great passion for cars who has founded her own company for classic car trips alongside her work as a chauffeur. Roland, an alphorn player from Opfikon, prefers the solitude of the mountains - the contact with his passengers offers a welcome change. For café owner Yahia, hospitality comes from the heart, whether in the café or in the vehicle.
"The drivers are the heart of our platform," explains Luisa Elster, spokesperson for Uber in Switzerland. "For their passengers, they are much more than just a chauffeur who takes them from A to B. They also make every ride a personal experience. We want to enable them to share their stories with the entire Uber community".
Since its launch in Switzerland five years ago, Uber has launched various initiatives to improve cooperation with partner drivers. In the meantime, only licensed drivers are still using the app in Switzerland. Most of them use the app casually and completely flexibly.

The campaign lets the drivers have the floor, does not use scripts and relies on documentary imagery. The focus is on the drivers, their hobbies, passions and individual reasons why they use the Uber app. In addition to print ads and online videos, interviews with the drivers on Driverstories.ch the campaign.
