Tuna brings director Jona Daniel to the Swiss market
The Zurich-based production company Tuna Production has signed director Jona Daniel and his Pecao Studio. The creator is known for a visual style that combines technical precision with contemporary product staging. Through this collaboration, Tuna is also further expanding its AI division.
Tuna production signs Jona Daniel for the Swiss market. With this new addition, the Zurich-based production company is expanding its profile with a director who stages product worlds in a striking, precise and contemporary way. Daniel works through his Pecao Studio near Barcelona and combines classic tabletop craftsmanship with a visual language that works on social media as well as in campaign films.
His work focuses on products that are not simply shown, but staged: with practical effects, sophisticated setups, liquids, high speed and a great desire for visual surprise. Depending on the project, this way of working can remain purely analog or be supplemented with AI elements. This results in solutions that are strong in terms of craftsmanship and at the same time respond flexibly to different budgets, timings and channels.
AI-generated spot for Turkish Airlines
With this collaboration, Tuna production is also further expanding its AI division. The first sign of this is a fully AI-generated commercial for Turkish Airlines, which Pecao Studio realized at the start of the collaboration.
"Jona Daniel has exactly what is rare today: a strong signature, genuine craftsmanship and a very good sense of how images need to look today," says Tufan Tuna, Managing Partner of Tuna production. "He doesn't think of products as a packshot, but as an experience."
Derya Tuna, Executive Producer and Deputy Managing Director, also sees a clear benefit in the collaboration: "His work is bold, precise and immediately eye-catching. This is highly interesting for agencies and brands because it combines aesthetics and flexibility."
New forms of production consistently combined
It is no coincidence that this approach suits Tuna. The company has always been an early adopter of new developments in the Swiss production landscape and has consistently combined traditional advertising, branded content and new forms of production. With Jona Daniel, Tuna is continuing along this path and strengthening an area that is becoming increasingly important for brands: the combination of product branding, storytelling and visually independent implementation.
"I don't just want to film products beautifully," says Jona Daniel. "I want to create images that people won't forget. That's exactly why I'm looking forward to working with Tuna."
Daniel appears on social media under @thisisjonadaniel and has a strong creator presence in addition to his work as a director. He has around 500,000 followers on TikTok. This gives Tuna a new addition who convincingly combines craftsmanship, zeitgeist and new visual narrative forms.
