Programmatic advertising has long since ceased to be a trend and is now a basic tool for all participants in the digital advertising market. It is therefore not surprising that the second Swiss Programmatic Advertising Day, which took place on 9 November in Zurich's Volkshaus, was characterized by full halls, exciting presentations, interesting panel discussions, lots of networking and a good atmosphere. In order to do justice to the various stakeholder groups, there were three different tracks this year, which were attended by over 450 guests.

After the keynote speech by Geoff Smith (Vice President, Solutions, EMEA VivaKi) and the panel "Real-Time Advertising Market Switzerland", visitors had the opportunity to follow key topics in the buyer, seller and technology tracks.

Following the tried and tested "elephant panel", the buyer track offered various cases and panels on the topics of mobile, the added value of programmatic advertising for agencies and clients, online net reach measurement and the presentation of a programmatic advertising DACH study. At the same time, following a keynote speech by JC Conti (VP Sales & Account Management Publishers EMEA, AppNexus), sales strategies, ad blockers, header bidding and programmatic video were discussed in the seller track. Finally, the technology track focused on the technical aspects of viewability and brand safety measurement, fraud detection, data handling and the challenges of native advertising.

"Once again a top professional event for the entire media industry that highlights trends and promising solutions for the development and problems of programmatic buying at a high level. Programmatic Advertising Day is a recipe for success - especially thanks to the cooperation and combined energy of the industry associations LSA, SWA and IGEM," says Catherine Purgly, Managing Director of LSA.

"It became increasingly clear that the road to making programmatic advertising work to everyone's satisfaction is long and rocky," says Ueli Custer, Managing Director of IGEM.

"Advertising clients need to go digital with their partners. At PAD16, you were able to get an up-to-date picture," says Roland Ehrler, Managing Director of SWA.
