Lake Constance is not only an attractive habitat for local residents and an important attraction for tourists, but also an important drinking water reservoir for around five million people. Since 1959, the International Water Protection Commission for Lake Constance IGKB has been concerned with the holistic protection of the body of water.

For over 25 years, the publication "Seespiegel" has provided information on the latest developments in the lake and current research: How does climate change affect our drinking water? What secrets are lake researchers getting to the bottom of? How is the quagga mussel changing the lake? Therefore, it is important to the IGKB to reach as broad a public as possible with the "Seespiegel".

Together with IGKB, Kernbrand has added a digital component to the Seespiegel. In addition to the print edition, a newsletter is now published twice a year with the associated Landing page in a fresh design.
