Globetrotter sets new standards in the digital search experience with AI compass

Travel provider Globetrotter is revolutionizing its website with campfire’s AI solution, combining technological innovation with personalized advice—for an optimal user experience.

The travel provider Globetrotter Travel Service is taking digital travel planning to a new level: with the "AI Compass", the company offers an intelligent search solution that provides users with targeted support when exploring travel destinations. The AI solution was developed in collaboration with the digital agency campfire. The aim: to understand customer needs even better and provide high-quality answers around the clock without replacing personal advice.

Lars Schöps, Head of Digital Marketing at Globetrotter, emphasizes: "Our products are complex, and our customers' wishes and user journeys are as diverse as their travel plans. This presents us with the challenge of being present around the clock without losing the humanity that defines our advice."

How does the AI compass work?

Customers can find the new tool on the globetrotter.ch homepage. It answers specific questions, provides inspiration and structures information - for example on entry requirements, best travel times or route options. The "AI compass" always remains close to the human dialogue and creates a bridge between digital technology and the personal touch that characterizes Globetrotter.

In addition to technological advantages, Globetrotter also wants to make cultural progress with the AI project. "We don't just want to be a passenger, we want to be in the driver's seat and learn first-hand how AI works and what opportunities it offers us," Schöps continues.

Pius Caduff, Managing Partner of campfire, adds: "AI is a game changer in terms of user experience. We are delighted to be able to support Globetrotter as a partner in setting the course."
