The current situation dramatically demonstrates how important a minimum level of digital fitness is for the success of companies, whether large or small. However, various studies show that many Swiss SMEs are neglecting digitization and underestimating the resulting consequences for their own company.

With Facebook, Google Switzerland, Localsearch and the industry association IAB Switzerland, four companies specializing in digital marketing have now joined forces to launch the continuing education initiative "SME Digital" into being. The joint project will be launched with two webinars on April 22 and 23, 2020.

As part of "SME Digital," experts from Facebook, Google Switzerland, Localsearch and IAB Switzerland will shed light on important aspects of digital marketing for small businesses and provide the SME audience with new impetus for success in the digital world.

In the two webinars, which form a thematic unit, Swiss SMEs are given a solid overview of strategic and tactical opportunities in connection with digitization. In addition to an introduction to digital advertising opportunities in Switzerland, participants will also receive practical guidance on initial digitization steps, on how the Google My Business company platform works, and on an optimal online presence with Facebook.

Following the first two webinars, live events are planned for the second half of the year at various locations in Switzerland. The first two free webinars will take place as follows:
