APG|SGA expands digital service portfolio in Olten and Solothurn

APG|SGA is strengthening its digital presence in the cities of Olten and Solothurn with the commissioning of a total of 32 screens. The core of the projects implemented with the two city authorities was the conversion of a total of ten analog city map systems into digital ones. Six are in Olten and four in Solothurn. Both cities can also use a third of the broadcasting time on the commercially usable screens, which are located on public land, for their own content such as cultural information, political information and official notices.

Emergency function for rapid population information

A special feature is an "emergency function": in the event of extraordinary events, the authorities can immediately override all areas, both the commercial and the Cityplan systems, and thus warn or inform the population in good time in the event of flooding, fire disasters or kidnappings. APG|SGA provides its own CMS for this purpose, which is used by both cities for broadcast planning.

All the panels in Olten and Solothurn are in prime locations. In the city of Olten, 16 City ePanels are now available to advertisers. There are six in Solothurn. At the request of the city of Olten, all ePanels were produced in a special color that blends in particularly well with the surroundings.

The rollout of the new digital facilities is an example of how the needs of a city and its population can be implemented in harmony with commercial content.
