Didier Cuche shows it again to all

Anyone who thinks Cuche will put his feet up and enjoy his retirement after his career is over is very much mistaken. In a campaign for the new Head Cuche Ski, the man from Neuchâtel shows that he's still got it.

The Head Cuche ski is available exclusively in Switzerland and impresses with KERS, Worldcup Sandwich construction and the Cuche design. But actually, a winter sports enthusiast wants to see one thing above all: the ski in action. And thanks to the QR code on the POS counter, you can watch the rousing film right at the retailer on your smartphone. This is announced in a press release on Thursday.

Last but not least: You're never too old to skateboard

Sport Scheck is calling on athletes across Germany to enter a contest by submitting their personal athletic goals. Active grandparents likely have a good chance of winning the grand prize.

have a life-size bronze statue built. Across Germany, the campaign spot by Serviceplan Campaign is now calling on athletes of all kinds to apply with their own personal athletic goals, which they hope to achieve with the support of Sport Scheck.

In the campaign ad, American Neal Unger really stands out—at nearly 60 years old, he’s an impressive skateboarder. Sport Scheck was able to secure Unger, who is already a minor YouTube celebrity, as a spokesperson for the contest.

The example of outstanding athletic achievements by older people beautifully illustrates that it’s not about the objective result, but about pushing one’s own personal limits—and having fun in the process. Another example worth checking out: the „Spunky Grandma with the Street Musicians,“ which appeared on Blick Online two days ago. (sis)

Swisscom appoints Urs Schaeppi as new CEO

The Board of Directors has appointed Urs Schaeppi as the new CEO. Swisscom is also consolidating its activities in the areas of large enterprises and IT services. Starting January 1, 2014, all large customers will be served by the new Enterprise Customers business unit.

Urs Schaeppi has worked at Swisscom for 15 years, since 2007 as Head of the Large Accounts division, has headed Swisscom Switzerland since the beginning of 2013 and has been CEO ad interim since July 23.

Major customers are addressed uniformly

In order to address its business customers from a single source, Swisscom is adapting its organization, primarily in the areas of Large Corporates, Network & IT and Swisscom IT Services. The company announced this in a press release on Thursday. In future, all major customers will be served by the new Enterprise Customers division with over 4,500 employees. The new Enterprise Customers division comprises the entire sales organization, customer service and product development for all major customers. The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises division will remain unchanged.

Cloud services are an important pillar of Enterprise Customers

More and more companies are no longer operating parts of their IT systems themselves, such as data centers, data storage and software, but are outsourcing these to the cloud of a specialist provider such as Swisscom. Enterprise Customers will be responsible for the further development of cloud platforms and services at Swisscom.

New Group structure

The integration of Swisscom IT Services into Swisscom Switzerland enables a simplified Group structure. As of January 1, 2014, the members of the Group Executive Board are: Urs Schaeppi (CEO), Marc Werner (Private Customers), Roger Wüthrich-Hasenböhler (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), Andreas König (Enterprise Customers), Heinz Herren (IT, Network & Innovation), Mario Rossi (Group Business Steering) and Hans Werner (Group Human Resources). Also reporting directly to the CEO are Stefan Nünlist (Group Communications & Responsibility), Martin Vögeli (Group Strategy & Board Services) and Roger Halbheer (Group Security). Deputy CEOs are Heinz Herren for the operational business in Switzerland and Mario Rossi for the central areas within the Group and as Vice Chairman for Fastweb. In future, Fastweb will be managed by the Board of Directors chaired by Swisscom CEO Urs Schaeppi.

Central marketing will be integrated into the Private Customers division and the investments of Group Related Businesses will be assigned to Group Business Steering. Ueli Dietiker will concentrate on his Board of Directors mandates at Swisscom subsidiaries and Fastweb and will be directly available to the CEO for special projects. He will continue to manage the Group Related Businesses function on an ad interim basis until a new appointment is made in the course of 2014. In order to bring innovation closer to the operational business, the area will be integrated into IT, Network & Innovation. As a result of the organizational changes, Jürgen Galler, previously Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Innovation, will relinquish his role and step down from the Group Executive Board.

Syndicom views decisions positively

Syndicom welcomes the appointment of Urs Schaeppi as the new CEO and sees this as a clear commitment to stability - also with regard to the social partnership. The same strategic thrust can also be seen in the merger of Swisscom Switzerland and Swisscom IT Services. From the point of view of the Syndicom trade union, both decisions are positive signals for the approximately 20,000 Swisscom employees.

Content&form: TV commercial for M-Budget TV

M-Budget TV is expanding its offerings and introducing a new replay feature. The agency Inhalt&Form has created a TV commercial for this.

In addition to the ability to receive 120 channels digitally, 30 of which are in HD quality, as well as the live pause, there is now the seven-day replay function. This feature was staged in a TV commercial. In a 30-second spot, an employee with a weak acting ability tries to explain the classic "Titanic" to his work colleagues - who missed the movie the night before - and bring it closer, which ends in disaster.

Responsible at Melectronics: Patrick Marti (Head of Specialty Store), Janine Rigg-Widemann (Head of Store Operations/POP). Responsible for content&form: Serge Riedener (CD), Karin Estermann (AD), Fabian Zahner (text/concept), Nicolas Stark (graphics), Anita Roth, Jürg Meyer (consulting). Responsible at Shining: Dani Levy (director), Stefan Bircher, Sophie Toth (producer); Jingle-Jungle (sound); Ultra Images (product animation).

Adello strengthens twofold

Adello is strengthening its customer service and sales departments at its Zurich branch with the addition of Stephan Beer and Anto Mrvelj.

Adello has expanded its Swiss sales team to include six mobile specialists, according to a statement. The Swiss mobile marketer is thus responding to the increasing demand for consulting and complexity reduction in the planning and control of advertising campaigns on smartphones and tablets. The current "IAB Digital Marketer of the Year" thus employs 39 people, 16 of whom are based in Zurich and Lausanne.

Stephan Beer has been recruited for the newly created position of Head of Direct Sales. The 29-year-old "digital native" has extensive experience in customer and sales consulting from his previous activities. His professional background includes various marketing and media companies in the electronic and digital sector such as Adlink, Goldbach Media and Radio Energy, where he was most recently Sales Team Leader.

In addition, Anto Mrvelj, who has been working for the globally active Automatic Data Processing Inc. for the last four years, has been engaged. From his experience as an account executive in international sales and process management, Anto Mrvelj is very familiar with heterogeneous and complex customer requirements. In this context, the target-oriented use of Adello's award-winning "State of the Art" technologies (AdCTRL) is of growing importance, with which wastage can be minimized, contact frequencies can be controlled across the board and post-click conversions can be increased.

"It is a stroke of luck for us that we were able to recruit two highly qualified new employees for our Zurich location at the same time, who fit very well into our team not only because of their professional expertise, but also with their pleasant natures," says Adello Co-Founder Sandor Laczko, who is responsible for the business operations in Switzerland, happily. "In our industry, it is extremely difficult to recruit the right talent. With the two new additions, we are optimally positioned to continue to meet the high quality demands of our customers as a market leader, which has earned us the award for the best digital marketer in Switzerland."

Best of Swiss Web: Submit now

The Swiss web competition «Best of Swiss Web» is entering its fourteenth year. Web projects and campaigns can be submitted starting now through January 13, 2014.

The awards ceremony for the gold, silver and bronze winners in eleven categories will take place on April 3, 2014 at the Kongresshaus Zurich. Advertising Week is once again a media partner in 2014.

The "Best of Swiss Web" jury of 100 experts awards prizes in a total of ten classic categories and one special category that changes every year. The categories for the 2014 competition are

1. business
2. public affairs
3. technology
4. creation
5. usability
6. marketing
7 Digital Performance Campaigns (IAB)
8th Digital Branding Campaigns (IAB)
9. innovation
10. mobile web

Special category 2014: "Move - moving images on the web"

This year, the annual special category honors the moving medium of the Internet: Web videos and moving image platforms can be submitted for "Move - Moving Image on the Web", i.e. creative online and mobile spots as well as professional web and mobile TV formats and channels. On the one hand, the relevant expert jury wants to evaluate and award projects that reach the respective users on corresponding video platforms in an original way - for example through web videos or Trueview advertising formats. On the other hand, broadcasting projects - such as YouTube video channels - will also be evaluated.

Adjustments in the "Business" and "Mobile Web" categories

There is an innovation in the former "Business Efficiency" category. Because the electronic variants of exchange processes (commerce, collaboration, knowledge, etc.) and efficient processes are now standard, this category has been broadened. The category is now simply called "Business" and judges all web projects that deal with work processes, project management, databases and all work processes. Last year's special topic "Mobile" will become the fixed category "Mobile Web", in which browser-based mobile projects (but not apps) can be submitted.

Immoscout24 and W. Gassmann cooperate

Partnership between Immoscout24 and the W. Gassmann publishing house in Biel: Real estate portals are being jointly established and further developed on the news platforms of the media group based in the Biel-Seeland-Bernese Jura region.

According to the announcement, the partnership provides for W. Gassmann to make the reach of its two news portals Bielertagblatt.ch and Journaldujura.ch available in the sense of co-branding with Immoscout24. The online portal from the Scout24 Group, based in Flamatt FR, publishes its sales and rental properties on the aforementioned platforms. As a result of the cooperation, the Biel-based media company can provide online users and advertisers in the region with an interesting offer, according to the statement. In return, Immoscout24 will further strengthen its position through the reach of the Gassmann media in the Biel, Seeland and Bernese Jura region.

The customer benefit lies in the simple process effort. Once an advertisement has been entered, it is published on several platforms simultaneously. The customer thus benefits from a greater reach and the consumer finds the largest possible offer on his preferred portal. This should also increase the attractiveness of the corresponding websites. Immoscout24 and Gassmann Media, the marketing organization belonging to the Gassmann Group, will also continue to expand their cooperation in the launch of new offerings and in the area of insertion processes.

Last but not least: Symbol image of the day

"Meitli thugs" or riot in the Misses camp? Symbolic images are not always easy - but they usually have their charm.

The bad news: young women are becoming increasingly brutal and troublesome. They gather together in "girl thugs" and bite and scratch their female counterparts. This is not just a crude prejudice, but has been confirmed by the media. As a pedagogical director of an institute in Aargau put it in the corresponding Article on 20min.ch"When girls become violent, there are often nasty scratches and bites."

The good news: at least these thugs cut a dashing figure. Like models in the new Jelmoli catalog, they present the latest fall fashion while pulling their hair in perfect positions. The colors are perfectly coordinated. Aperture opened to the maximum for the usual blurred background.

symbolbild-des-tages

The same symbolic image could easily be used for the next Music Star season: While the candidate sings one last time just before the audition, her three best friends ("My ladies!") are there to support her.
