ProSieben boss now responsible for all German stations

Following the release of poor quarterly results, Pro Sieben Sat. 1 is taking further action: Andreas Bartl will assume responsibility for all four German channels.

Pro Sieben Sat. 1 draws further consequences following the publication of poor quarterly figures: Andreas Bartl will take over responsibility for all four German channels. As Managing Director, Bartl will be responsible for Sat.1, ProSieben, Kabel eins and N24, the company announced in a communiqué on Monday.
Until now, the 45-year-old Bartl was Managing Director of the ProSieben channel. His successor there will be deputy Thilo Proff. Bartl will be supported by so-called "content managers" for fiction, infotainment, magazines and entertainment.
At the end of April, ProSiebenSat.1 surprisingly experienced massive problems in selling advertising time and therefore slipped into the red at the beginning of the year. Sat.1's weak ratings are a particular problem for the station group. The new coordination is intended to further improve program development and sharpen the profiles of the individual stations, explained CEO Guillaume de Posch.

Meyer advertises for Partnerwinner.ch

The Zurich-based advertising agency Meyer Werbung prevailed over two competitors in a pitch and will now be responsible for creating the new campaign for PartnerWinner.ch.

The Zurich-based advertising agency Meyer Werbung has prevailed against two competitors in a competitive presentation and is now allowed to realize the new campaign of Partnerwinner.ch. The dating platform, which belongs to Tamedia and has already been a client of Meyer Werbung on previous occasions, had asked three agencies to submit a concept for a new campaign. The proposal from the small agency based in Zurich's Ankerstrasse convinced Partnerwinner.ch's Managing Director Christoph Lüscher.
According to the press release, the new concept will take a very provocative approach. The campaign plays with political and social issues and will soon provide plenty to talk about, agency boss Thomas Meyer announced on Monday.
Three to four subjects are planned for advertisements of up to double-sided format.

Last but not least: Be a grease monkey yourself!

Who wouldn't want to make headlines at least once? And not in the same way or in the same position as Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Thomas Borer, or some violent criminal. No, we're talking about the job where headlines are actually crafted...

Who wouldn't want to make the headlines? And not in the sense or in the place of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Thomas Borer or some violent criminal. No, we're talking about the place where headlines are really made. From the control desk of power, the director's chair of the sixth-largest daily newspaper in the world. The most important desk in the German media scene. - This refers to the workplace of Kai Diekman, the editor-in-chief of the Bild newspaper in the high-rise building of the Axel Springer publishing house in Berlin. Ever since Günter Wallraff enlightened us more than twenty years ago with the reports summarized in his book "Der Aufmacher - Der Mann, der bei Bild Hans Esser war" (The lead story - The man who was Hans Esser at Bild) about how freely and completely unencumbered by any facts one can live out one's literary life there, we have all secretly dreamed of this post. The Springer publishing house has now finally realized this and is giving us - at least on the board - the opportunity to take Diekmann's place. And who knows, if we prove ourselves in "Bild - das Quiz" with clever answers to questions such as "How did Franjo Pooth, husband of Verona Pooth, née Feldbusch, make the headlines at the beginning of 2008?", we might get the chance to jump up the internal ladder of success from intern to editor-in-chief, just like in the game. Then we could shake shocking headlines like "Son (18) found three baby corpses while looking for pizza" out of our shirtsleeves during our lunch break at the posh Italian restaurant. Cool - "Bild - The Quiz" is now available in stores for just under 20 euros.

Weber Harbeke bathes again with Grand Casino Baden in happiness

The Zurich-based agency Weber Harbeke is launching a follow-up campaign for the Grand Casino Baden. The visuals combine typical images from the casino world with victory poses from the world of sports.

Zurich agency Weber Harbeke is launching a follow-up campaign for the Grand Casino Baden. Whereas the ad, which has been running since 2006, showed winners bathing in happiness and caused outrage among some because of the revealing images, the sequel combines typical images of the casino world with winning poses from the world of sports. Just in time for the European Championship, the first four subjects of a total of eight are based on soccer, or goal celebrations.

For example, a man slides across the roulette table on his knees, another man tears his shirt over his head, a woman makes the victory sign, or a group throws themselves at each other in victory frenzy. According to Susann Knöpfel, Head of Marketing at Grand Casino Baden, the campaign thus focuses on the moment of happiness experienced when winning.

Weber Harbeke has been working for Grand Casino Baden since 2003. The images for the new campaign are once again by Hanspeter Schneider. The new campaign will be launched on May 6, 2008 with posters and advertisements in the Zurich and Aargau regions.

Contexta sets the scene for new products from Calanda

The Bern-based agency Contexta has created a unique visual concept for each of Calanda’s three new products, capturing the essence of each beverage.

This spring, the Calanda brewery is presenting three new drinks: Calanda Joy, Calanda Draft and Calanda Lemon. The Bern-based agency Contexta has created an individual motif for each of the three new products, which gets to the heart of their respective character: the ice-cold refreshment Calanda Draft attracts the attention of (Grisons) night owls. Calanda Joy, positioned as the perfect alternative to a Cüpli, long drink or cocktail, presents itself in all its diversity. And Calanda Lemon lets the sun shine.
As a further measure, Contexta has implemented a three-dimensional rail poster for Calanda. From now on, the Grisons ibexes will be advertising their beer on SBB trains. The Elvetino Railbar also offers beer from the Grisons mountains.
