Sayhey is expanding its collaboration with agencies

The creative production studio Sayhey is expanding its collaboration with agencies—and, through PAM Advertising’s Carvolution campaign, is demonstrating how integrated creation and production can work.

The creative production studio Sayhey takes an approach that integrates creation and production earlier and more closely. In addition to its own film productions, Sayhey is increasingly collaborating with agencies and supporting them in the cinematic realization of their clients’ projects—from initial ideas and existing concepts all the way through to the finished production.

Early involvement instead of traditional contract manufacturing

Depending on the project, Sayhey either positions itself as a traditional film production company or gets involved as early as the concept phase. This flexible approach is designed to enable agencies to further develop creative ideas from a cinematic perspective at an early stage and assess their feasibility. The current Carvolution campaign, «Who Needs Car Salespeople Anymore?», created under the creative direction of PAM Advertising, demonstrates how this works in practice.

Sayhey was involved in the development from an early stage and worked closely with the agency on the visual style, the humor, and the cinematic direction. At the heart of the campaign is a car salesman who seems slightly out of touch with the times and suddenly pops up everywhere—in the back seat, next to the car, or right in the middle of the center console. As the commercial unfolds, he realizes that nobody really needs him anymore. The campaign includes TV commercials, digital formats, and other video assets.

Creation and Production as a Joint Process at Sayhey

«Our experience in directing and production helps us identify early on which ideas will have the greatest impact on screen and how they can be effectively brought to life within the given constraints. This allows us, if desired, to support agencies as early as the development phase in refining creative ideas from a cinematic perspective,» says Svenja Tschannen, co-founder of Sayhey and director of gegenpart.

Sayhey will continue to develop and produce films for brands. At the same time, the studio is increasingly serving as a production company for agencies—with the goal of integrating creative and production efforts earlier and more closely.
