Jung von Matt Limmat: Mobiliar's profit-sharing campaign continues

Regardless of whether and how Mobiliar customers file a claim—they share in the company’s success thanks to its cooperative structure. This remains the central message of the 2023 surplus fund campaign, which is being launched nationwide as an evolution of the iconic campaign.

It is well known that good habits should not be changed. Mobiliar sees it the same way. What was decided more than 80 years ago thanks to the cooperative still applies today. Mobiliar's customers participate in the good business performance with payouts from the surplus fund. In the meantime, the annual releases amount to millions - and are paid out regardless of whether and how the customers suffered a loss in the previous year.

This is precisely what the latest campaign, created in collaboration with Jung von Matt Limmat, sets the scene for. While the campaign ties in with last year's Surplus Fund campaign, it has one difference. Annette Häcki, Managing Creative Director at Jung von Matt Limmat, says: "The spots get to the point - or the damage - even faster. Mobiliar and we used the existing concept, but loaded it up with even more drama, dynamics and new narrative forms."

Damage moment in Slow Motion Control

The commercials dramatize the two most common types of damage and how they are caused by various mishaps and ways. "Many have already experienced it themselves: whether it's a crack in the sink or a broken cell phone screen. That's why we've picked up on precisely these cases of damage in this year's campaign," says Hanna Poffet, who is responsible for the campaign on behalf of Mobiliar together with Nicole Bieri. Exactly this moment until the damage is done is depicted with slow motion control so closely that just watching it sends shivers down the spine. The spots also play with stylistic devices of the narrative form. The camera moves the viewer fluidly from one setting to another and finally ends at the inevitable damage.

The two spots form the centerpiece of the broad-based campaign, which is present on all channels and throughout Switzerland. In addition to the TV and cinema spots, the campaign is accompanied by a broad OOH, DOOH, radio and online presence. The campaign also features headline subjects that celebrate Mobiliar's appreciation of its customers and their loyalty, thus reinforcing the message in a simple and appealing way.
