Vacation experience right from the booking stage

VACATION PLANNING With the opening of its concept store at the Glattzentrum in Zurich-Wallisellen, TUI Suisse has reached a milestone in the world of travel agencies. The industry, which had been written off, aims to bring customers’ vacation dreams within reach through a combination of virtual inspiration and personalized advice. Vacation experiences begin as soon as you enter the redesigned TUI travel agency. The innovative design combined with the visible digital media is inviting. Even in the entrance area, the customer enjoys the sight of the large Maldives beach and the red logo with the typical smile completes the picture. At a high table reminiscent of a bar, customers can browse through the TUI Suisse vacation offer via iPad. An expert can help out on request. The concept store is another of TUI's aims to link the online and offline worlds. Which is why in future it will no longer matter whether bookings are made online or at a travel agency. The two sales channels complement each other. Modern, internet-savvy target groups are thus addressed and made enthusiastic about the booking experience. Today, customers already travel ticketless and receive all relevant information via the service portal meine-tui.ch. For requests and emergencies, support can also be reached via multimedia at the destination. "TUI wants to impress customers at every stage of their trip - from the initial consultation, which should be an experience in itself, to the return journey from the vacation destination," says Martin Wittwer, CEO TUI Suisse.Ticketless travelTUI Suisse is introducing ticketless travel for the TUI Schöne Ferien and 1-2-FLY brands. Customers now have the choice between ticketless travel or printed travel documents. With the electronic option, customers receive access to the electronic itinerary via the customer service portal of the booked brands four weeks before departure. A personal login and booking number are issued for this purpose. Only an identity card or passport is required for check-in at the hotel. Customers who still wish to receive their documents in paper form can still book these free of charge via their booking office. The introduction of digital travel documents is part of a strategic "Online driven Company" project, which links services digitally. This is necessary because more and more customers are always online and use mobile services not only before, but also during their trip.when does the boat trip start and how many baht are ten francs? These and other questions from travelers can now be answered by the new meine TUI app for Android cell phones and iPhones. The app provides individual information about the booked vacation.
