The Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Communication Management and Leadership at the Institute of Applied Media Studies (IAM) at the ZHAW is getting new leadership. As of August 2025, Katharina Krämer and Annette Pfizenmayer will jointly take over the management of the program. Both experts have been working as lecturers and program directors at the IAM for many years and have extensive experience in the areas of teaching, research and consulting.

"We want to further develop the MAS so that it continues to set standards for quality and innovation in continuing education in the communications industry," emphasize the new co-directors. This will be done in close dialog with CAS directors, lecturers, participants and practitioners.

The current MAS Director Markus Niederhäuser will remain with the Institute in his role as Head of Continuing Education at the IAM. He will continue to oversee the strategic development of the institute's continuing education programs. "With Katharina Krämer and Annette Pfizenmayer, a well-rehearsed and experienced duo is taking over the MAS management. This will ensure the high quality and innovative strength of our MAS program in the future," emphasizes Niederhäuser.
