dreifive (Switzerland) AG is undergoing a leadership transition in preparation for its next phase of growth: Kim Engels is taking on the role of dreifive’s new managing director and will be responsible for the operational management of the Zurich office going forward. The current managing partners, Marcel Oppliger and Sascha Frommhund, will hand over their operational responsibilities by the end of the year and, starting in 2027, will focus—as co-owners and members of the Board of Directors of the dreifive Group—on the group’s strategic development, the expansion of its international network, and the exploration of new business areas.

Experience at the intersection of communication, technology, and AI

Kim Engels brings extensive experience in leadership roles to the table. In recent years, he has worked at Mediabrands and Reprise Digital. Most recently, as CEO of Converto, he was responsible for digital transformation, innovation, growth, and operations. At the intersection of communications, technology, and corporate development, he is expected to provide dreifive (Switzerland) AG with targeted new impetus—drawing on his expertise in digital business models, artificial intelligence, data-driven communications, and organizational transformation.

Sascha Frommhund commented on the decision: «With Kim Engels, we are gaining a leader with extensive operational experience, a deep understanding of technology, and a clear vision for the future of the communications and agency industry.»

Under Engels‘ leadership, dreifive is set to further expand its current growth trajectory. The focus will be particularly on expertise in the areas of AI, content automation, digital campaign management, and technology. In addition, there will be an increased emphasis on scalable consulting services and data-driven communication solutions. According to the company, the group employs more than 110 people in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.

Jolanda Kessler will oversee the transition and leave dreifive in 2027

Along with Kim Engels’ appointment comes another significant personnel change: Jolanda Kessler, who has played a key role in shaping the agency’s development over the past eight years, will be leaving dreifive in 2027. Until then, she will actively support the transition to the new managing director and ensure a seamless handover.

Marcel Oppliger, a member of the dreifive Group’s Board of Directors, commented on her departure: «We would like to sincerely thank Jolanda Kessler for eight years of extraordinary dedication and trusting collaboration. With her strategic clarity, her commitment to quality, and her intuition for people and brands, she has had a decisive influence on the agency. We respect her decision and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.»

Kessler himself looks back on a formative period: «The past few years have been incredibly enriching for me, both personally and professionally. Together with an exceptional team, we were able to further develop the agency, win new clients, carry out challenging projects, and successfully navigate many changes. I am particularly proud of the culture we have built together—one characterized by trust, courage, creativity, and genuine team spirit.»

With this dual change, dreifive is laying a new foundation for its operational and strategic development—with a clear focus on digital expertise and international scaling.
