Heineken Switzerland: Raphael Wermuth becomes new Corporate Affairs Director

Heineken Switzerland is getting a breath of fresh air in its leadership: Communications expert Raphael Wermuth is taking on the role of Corporate Affairs Director, assuming responsibility for internal and external communications—and thereby joining the executive board.

The experienced communications expert has been responsible for internal and external communications at Heineken Switzerland since October 1, 2024. Raphael Wermuth has more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry. For the last 14 years, he worked for the international chocolate manufacturer Barry Callebaut in Zurich. As Head of Media Relations, he was responsible for global media relations and developed the external communications strategy. Later, as Head of Digital Communications, he built up the company's digital communication channels and led a team of digital experts.

Prior to that, he was head of internal and external communications at Philips Switzerland. He began his career in a PR agency.

As Corporate Affairs Director, Raphael Wermuth reports directly to the Managing Director, Diederik Vos. He is responsible for all internal and external communications at Heineken Switzerland. This includes the development and implementation of the communication strategy, media relations, public affairs and issues & crisis management. He will maintain relationships with the media, authorities and NGOs and advise the management on communication issues.
