Coop apprentices get their own sales outlet
Coop's Responsibility for Trainees: Throughout the entire year, participants in their third and final year of basic training are responsible for managing a supermarket in Deisswil.

The independent management of a sales outlet is intended to offer apprentices the opportunity to deepen their acquired knowledge with a great deal of responsibility and strong practical relevance. Coop is thus placing even greater emphasis on self-organized learning and action skills. For the past three years, Coop has also been relying on a training program that is divided into a one-year basic apprenticeship year and a one or two-year in-depth phase. For example, all apprentices in the food retail sector start their first year of basic training in a basic sales outlet, where they get to know the actual work processes on site.
