48 new communication specialists receive federal certificate
At the Farelhaus in Biel, 48 newly certified communications professionals celebrated receiving their federal vocational certificates. With a pass rate of 80 percent, the class of 2025 is well above the Swiss average for federal vocational examinations.

The advertising industry can look forward to a new generation of qualified professionals: 48 new communication specialists have successfully completed their professional examinations and received their federal certificate at the Farelhaus in Biel/Bienne. With a success rate of 80 percent, the current cohort is well above the Swiss average for federal professional examinations.
"This diploma has made my view of communication more strategic and strengthened me not only professionally but also personally," emphasizes Stefania Maggiori, one of the successful graduates. Her colleague Anaïs Marceau adds: "I deliberately decided against a CAS in favor of the federal certificate because it is practical, part-time, state-supported and, above all, immediately applicable."
The great advantage of practical training is obvious: the professionals can remain in the work process, deepen their knowledge and apply it directly - and are rewarded with a federally recognized qualification.
Political commitment to higher vocational education and training
As a national examination organization, KS/CS Communication Switzerland is also committed to strengthening vocational education and training at a political level. One current example is the introduction of the English titles "Professional Bachelor" and "Professional Master" for higher vocational education and training qualifications. A corresponding motion is on the agenda for the upcoming fall session of the Swiss parliament. "A strong idea. Many people cannot afford to study or cannot take a career break. The title 'Professional Bachelor' gives the practice the value it deserves," emphasizes graduate Pablo Rial Diaz.
Quality feature for the industry
The federal certificates are an important signal to agencies and clients: the exams stand for mature expertise, methodical knowledge and the ability to implement communication projects effectively. "The quality of the training and the examination was very high. The organization of the exam in particular deserves great praise. The demands were high, but justified and feasible," emphasizes Patricia Podoleanu.
This year's graduation ceremony was supported by various partners. Faber-Castell presented the graduates with fine writing instruments, while the three best graduates were able to enjoy an exclusive weekend at the Hotel Belvedere in Locarno. The Swiss Advertising Employers Association and the company Shareforce also support vocational training and thus help to strengthen the entire industry.
