The "Power Pur" event for the printing industry enters its second round

Following its successful debut last year, Power Pur, the forum for the Swiss print and media industry, is entering its second round on May 23, 2024. Networking and knowledge transfer will once again take center stage, but now at a new and historic location for the printing industry - the JED Events in Schlieren.

In 2023, Power Pur still took place at the KKL Lucerne. This year, the event will be held at JED Events Schlieren. (Image: zVg.)

As in the previous year, Power Pur will take place after the general meeting of Dpsuisse, which continues to sponsor the event under its new name. During the half-day conference, columnist Kurt Zimmermann, AI pioneer Chris Beyeler, entrepreneur and digital ethics expert Cornelia Diethelm, slammer Gina Walter, entrepreneur and diversity expert Esther-Mirjam de Boer and former Swiss football referee Urs Meier will speak on the topic of "Reshaping Print & Media - talents of today and technologies of tomorrow". This will be followed by the presentation of the Swiss Print Award, which recognizes outstanding print work produced in Switzerland.

Former print shop as the new location for the print event

While the course of the event remains the same, the location is changing this year. The print and media industry event will now take place in the former NZZ-JED Events in Schlieren, a printing company. The hall reportedly offers an "ideal infrastructure" and is known to many players.

Important sponsoring partnerships

"Power Pur would not be possible without sponsors," says Beat Kneubühler, Director of Dpsuisse, the event's patron. "We are overjoyed that the premiere edition was so convincing. The commitment of major new sponsors sends an extremely positive signal to the industry."

It is not without reason that Kneubühler and the organizer Galledia Event are so positive: in addition to Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer and Papyrus, which were already involved as sponsors at the first event, two other well-known paper suppliers, Antalis and Fischer Papier, have been acquired as event sponsors this year. The Chromos Group was also impressed by last year's successful premiere. It is participating as a bronze sponsor.

The patron is delighted with the growing support: "It is only through the trust of our sponsors that we can continue to develop the event at a high level and make it a meeting place for the print and media industry," says Kneubühler.
