UBI rejects complaint against "SRF Börse

The daily program does not allow viewers to form their own opinion about what is happening on the stock exchange, criticized the editorial team of the online portal Infosperber.ch, which filed the complaint with the UBI. "SRF Börse" only allows CEOs, board presidents and chief economists to have their say. The view of investors and small savers is practically not expressed. In addition, the dangerous excesses of the stock market are not adequately informed.

Diversity requirement not violated
The UBI does not share this view, according to the decision published on Tuesday. Events on the stock market, market developments and company results were not presented in a one-sided, euphemistic way. Rather, the program is concise and focused in a news-typical manner on the current events of the day. There was no obligation for "SRF Börse" to deal with events on the stock exchange "regularly in a fundamental and comprehensive manner at short intervals". Moreover, SRF television as a whole had already dealt with all the aspects raised. SRF had therefore not violated the diversity requirement. (SDA)
