Remo Leupin leaves Basel daily newspaper Tageswoche

Remo Leupin is leaving the Basel-based Tageswoche. The co-founder of the weekly newspaper is moving to Migros Media at the end of September.

Leupin will take up a management position in Zurich as Head of Production and Deputy Editor, announced the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Neue Medien Basel AG, Oscar Olano, in the editorial blog "Mittendrin" on Monday. The change was made at Leupin's request. As a member of the editorial team, Leupin successfully supported the expansion of the digital offering, which was driven forward from mid-2013. Most recently, he was responsible for the daily online business and the implementation of journalistic content for the printed newspaper. Leupin also worked as a page editor for Tageswoche. In this role, he "made a significant contribution to establishing Tageswoche as a new media alternative in the Basel region", Olano paid tribute to the journalist. (SDA)
