Mediapulse wants the injunction lifted immediately
The company Mediapulse is pushing to be able to publish the TV usage data it has collected. This is currently not possible due to a super-provisional injunction issued by the Nidwalden High Court. Mediapulse is now calling for the measure to be lifted immediately.
This emerged from a statement issued by Mediapulse last week. The injunction was issued by the private broadcaster 3+. Mediapulse is not allowed to publish any TV user data until the injunction is lifted. The new figures have been under lock and key since the change in the data collection system at the beginning of the year.
In its statement, the Mediapulse Foundation points out that the Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) judged the measurement system to be legally compliant in May. This means that there is no longer any reason to prevent the publication of user data. However, several television channels, led by 3+, described the measurement method as flawed. They therefore objected to the publication of the data collected in this way. (SDA)
