The separation is "for economic reasons," according to a statement on Thursday. Wolfgang Schickli, Managing Director Switzerland: "We very much regret the separation for economic reasons, as we are losing two excellent and well-connected executives in the sales area."

Res Spycher and Roger Mazenauer will be available to the company within the scope of their current activities during the notice period until the end of June. The organizational structure will be reorganized in the course of the next few weeks in order to ensure proper support for the director partners.

Publicitas is thus continuing on the savings course it has embarked upon. Even before the management buyout became public (Werbewoche.ch reported) employees' workloads were reduced on a voluntary basis. Shortly afterwards, the company announced the departure of Sales Director Wolfgang Schickli "for personal reasons". (Werbewoche.ch reported).

Res Spycher joined Publicitas in 1984 as a customer advisor at the City West counter and soon took on various management functions. In 2001, he was appointed to the management of Publicitas Berne. He was thus responsible for the Publisher Market Department and at the same time was entrusted with the advertising management of the most important partner newspapers Der Bund and Anzeiger Region Bern. Other important stations in his career were the takeover of the Bern branch in 2008, the function as Sales Manager D-CH West in 2014, and that he held the function as Head of Placement and Direction Regional Print & Digital in German-speaking Switzerland since June 2016.

Roger Mazenauer worked for Publicitas for almost 21 years. His Publicitas career began in 1994 as Head of Press Consulting in St. Gallen and led via various stations to his current position as Head of Sales D-CH East. He made a significant contribution to the positioning of the Publicitas brand and its relationships in the publisher market of Eastern Switzerland and made a decisive contribution to the expansion of the company's customer portfolio.
