Passengertv now also on trains of Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn RBS

The new RBS S-Bahn trains will be equipped with Passengertv: from the end of 2018, the first of the 14 new trains will be deployed on the busy S7 line between Bern and Worb.

The 19 bus routes of RBS and BSU, which carry around 14 million passengers in the greater Bern-Solothurn area, have been using Passengertv since 2013. The contracts between RBS/BSU and Livesystems, the operator of the Passengertv screens, have just been extended for a further period.

All 14 new Stadlerrail trains are to replace the "Mandarinli" on the S9 (Unterzollikofen) and Worblental line S7 by 2020. These two lines serve the busiest rail routes in the canton of Bern. The Passengertv program comes from Nau.ch, the new online platform from Livesystems, which focuses specifically on local news for the screens. RBS has closely involved the population of the Worblental in the procurement process from the outset. This close cooperation with a focus on local news will also be continued in subsequent operations.
