MediaCom holds Christmas raffle for the fourth time already

This is the fourth year in a row that MediaCom employees have held a Christmas charity raffle. The proceeds will go to a good cause—this year, the Pestalozzi Children's Village Foundation.

The Charity Christmas Raffle was first launched on the initiative of MediaCom employees in 2015. Lior Zborover, Communication Planner, and Heinz Bischof at MediaCom Switzerland have been on the organizing committee from the very beginning: "We wanted to use it to draw attention to the situation of refugees, especially children, and to get involved in a good cause."

The idea for the charity is based on a raffle. Instead of distributing gifts from the media to the planners, all gifts are collected in a pool and distributed to the employees in a Christmas raffle. Tickets for the raffle are purchased by MediaCom employees. In the first step, the beneficiary organization is democratically selected through an employee poll. Subsequently, both publishers and MediaCom customers are asked to donate prizes for the raffle.

In previous years there were exciting prizes: Tickets for free entry to events, fleece jackets, champagne bottles, Davos sleds and much more. Then, just before Christmas, the raffle takes place at an employee event. Last year, 5,000 Swiss francs were collected. MediaCom employees bought raffle tickets worth 3,450 francs, MediaCom Switzerland increased the amount to 5,000 francs.

This year, the MediaCom employees have chosen the Pestalozzi Children's Village Foundation and hope for a lively turnout again.

The Children's Village in Trogen is a place of intercultural exchange, where young people from different backgrounds meet and understanding for other cultures is created. Abroad, the foundation provides disadvantaged children with regular access to quality education.
