APG|SGA receives SBTi certification for climate targets
The OOH company APG|SGA has successfully had its emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative SBTi. The company is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions across the Group to net zero by 2045.
APG|SGA had already set initial climate targets for its direct emissions and purchased energy in 2018. These were revised in 2024 and supplemented to include indirect emissions along the entire value chain. The targets now confirmed by the SBTi provide for an 85% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and a 45% reduction in Scope 3 emissions. The entire value chain should reach net zero by 2045.
CEO Markus Ehrle describes the validation as a "further milestone" in the company's sustainability efforts. The out-of-home advertising company is planning a series of measures to comply with the defined reduction path.
The SBTi Net-Zero Standard is an internationally recognized framework for reducing emissions in line with the Paris Climate Agreement.
