Worldwide Sony campaign with music from Zurich
Following the commercials featuring colorful balls (music: José Gonzalez) and colorful rabbits (music: The Rolling Stones), the latest Sony campaign features colorful umbrellas floating through the air. And the music comes from Switzerland.
The new Sony Nex-5R campaign is being used worldwide. For the campaign, the team of Diego Baldenweg, Nora Baldenweg and Lionel Vincent Baldenweg from the Zurich-based music production company Great Garbo created a musical composition in collaboration with the Japanese advertising agency Hakuhodo Kettle (Tokyo) and director Luzian Schlatter. The spot was produced by Markenfilm Hamburg and AIO Productions Tokyo.
The film shows an intimate journey of discovery with the camera that ends in a floating landscape of colored umbrellas. The visual experience is musically supported by a composition designed to subtly and emotionally combine classical and modern elements, according to a statement Friday. The musical composition was recorded in Zurich with live vocals as well as live violin (Tonhalle Orchestra), among others.
The soundtrack called "Colour Symphony No. 2" is now available worldwide as a Song available on all major online music portals.
