Weber Shandwick opens office in Istanbul
Weber Shandwick is expanding its global network with the opening of a new office in Istanbul this month. Seda Yalcin will head the new office in Turkey, a key growth market.
Seda Yalcin, most recently with Grayling, will thus become managing director for Turkey and serve as a member of Weber Shandwick's EMEA leadership team. She has ten years of experience in public relations and public affairs, both in Turkey and at the EU level in Brussels, according to a statement from Weber Shandwick. Yalcin worked for FusionTel in Turkey, then moved to Brussels for a post at the European Commission and subsequently worked at Interel Public Affairs. She returned to Turkey for Grayling in 2010. There, she was initially responsible for public affairs practice matters as head and rose through the agency's executive ranks.
With Kuwait, Weber Shandwick is also expanding its core offices in the Middle East to a total of five countries (previously Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Egypt). The Kuwait office will be led by Rosie Muhanna as general manager. Muhanna has over ten years of experience in the communications industry. Her experience includes working as a creative in the U.S. and the Middle East. A strong believer in community service, Muhanna is heavily involved at the pro bono level with Human Rights Watch as well as other local special needs centers.
