Reinforcement in the Swiss PR market
The sda subsidiary News aktuell has moved into Zurich offices
The sda subsidiary News aktuell has moved into Zurich premisesLast week, the sda subsidiary News aktuell Schweiz officially inaugurated its premises in Zurich. This provides the Swiss PR market with a new distribution system for sending texts, images and graphics to the media. News aktuell has evolved from the Original Text Service (OTS), which has been expanded to include the Original Picture Service (OBS) and the Original Graphics Service (OGS). The new system promises convenience for customers and users, because from now on all existing texts, images and graphics are centrally archived and can be quickly accessed on the website www.newsaktu ell.ch with a search system. Also new in the range are so-called trade press and regional press packages, with which texts and images can be forwarded on a topic- or region-specific basis.
News aktuell Schweiz was founded as a joint venture between sda and the dpa subsidiary News aktuell and today employs six full-time staff. sda holds a majority stake of 70 percent, while 30 percent of the shares are held by News aktuell Germany.
The sda subsidiary benefits from the cooperation with News aktuell Deutschland on the technical side: Both the setup and maintenance of the system and the operation of the website are in the hands of the German partner. Of course, the partners can also use each other's distribution systems.
This will be interesting for the Swiss because the German partner is also working with News aktuell Belgium. This expands the offering to include a package for the French-speaking region. Daniel Schifferle
