Valencia: Basel markets freshly staged
To promote the Basel markets, Valencia Kommunikation designed a visual that seamlessly combines personality, freshness, and diversity.
The city of Basel has a rich market culture: around 12 markets throughout the city invite visitors to discover and enjoy. From the traditional city market on the Marktplatz to the new goods market on Barfüsserplatz and charming neighborhood and flea markets. Basel's location marketing wanted to communicate this diversity with new advertising measures to both domestic and foreign visitors, while at the same time conveying the core values of "regional, friendly, fresh".

Valencia Kommunikation developed a new visual in consultation with the client and partly using existing visuals. The common denominator and distinguishing feature from the usual retail trade was the personal shopping experience. The central element of the new communication is therefore a likeable market trader. He presents a shopping cart containing products from all the markets and thus represents the diversity that the Basel markets offer. The visual is used on various advertising measures such as flyers or streetcar posters with dispensers.
