"Unique comes from communication"

Daniel Meier and Jan Maurer found a new advertising agencyDaniel Meier, a member of the Management Board and CD at JvM/Limmat until November, has founded the advertising agency Unikat, based in Küsnacht, together with Jan Maurer, former Managing Director at By Heart. Together they have 35 years of advertising experience, 12 of which as members of the management board. "We see the uncertainty in the industry more as an opportunity," says Maurer, explaining the new start. They also receive moral support from their wives. "Right now, a flexible small agency with the full service of a large agency can be more committed to the customer," says Meier. Unikat started with three employees, and the ideal size should one day be reached with 15. But they are not going there alone: The PR agency cR Kommunikation has a minority stake. Both companies want to offer integrated communication together. CS Private Banking, a new launch in the medical services sector, two clients from the hotel industry and a fruit wholesaler are among the first clients. Luca Aloisi
