TV drives growth in electronic media

According to the Goldbach Index (Gemi), advertising pressure on TV increased by three points in August, resulting in an increase of two points for electronic media.

There were no significant changes compared with the previous month in radio, the Internet, teletext and digital out of home. The market as a whole is also unchanged. TV therefore emerged as the winner in August. In the year to date, declines had to be accepted. With a significantly higher advertising pressure of 653 points compared to 650 points in the previous month, the value is now even approaching the record level of 654 points from December 2014 again. Digital out of Home also increased with a plus of one to a new 665 points. Thanks to the upward trend since May, almost half of the decline in April of this year has already been made up. With a minus of one point, Internet was able to confirm itself at a very high level. Compared to twelve months ago, the figure is almost 10 percent higher. Advertising pressure for teletext decreased for the second time in a row by one point.

Electronic media as a whole benefited from the strong increase in TV. The two-point increase confirms the upward trend since June. Advertising pressure for the overall market, on the other hand, has not changed since May this year.
