Thomy Scherrer temporarily relinquishes moderation duties
SRF host Thomy Scherrer suffered a stroke in late 2016. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is on the road to recovery, but will be absent from the show until further notice. Host Urs Gredig will now fill in for him on «Club.».

Thomy Scherrer, 57, had a stroke in November 2016, SRF said in a statement on Monday. He is currently undergoing outpatient rehabilitation and his recovery is progressing well. The longtime Radio SRF 1 presenter and "Club" host is on medical leave until further notice. Urs Gredig is expected to take over as his deputy at "Club" at the end of April 2017. For the past few months, "Club" editorial director Karin Frei has hosted all shows. Scherrer's moderation duties at Radio SRF 1 will be covered by his colleagues.
Thomy Scherrer: "A stroke took me out of my everyday life at the end of November. I am currently in rehab and making good progress. The prognosis for a full recovery is very good. However, an important component for this is rest. I ask you to respect the fact that I am therefore not available for interviews."
Karin Frei, editorial director of "Club": "We are all very happy that the rehab is going well and wish Thomy only the best - that he will soon be healthy again." Heidi Ungerer, journalistic director of Radio SRF 1, also joins in the good wishes: "We wish Thomy Scherrer a continued good recovery and look forward to his return soon."
