TBS designs environmental report for properties in the city of Zurich
In its new 2024 Environmental Report, the City of Zurich’s Real Estate Department has, for the first time, compiled a comprehensive overview of its diverse activities in the area of environmental sustainability. TBS was commissioned to handle the editorial design as well as the visual presentation and illustration of these diverse activities.
Liegenschaften Stadt Zürich (LSZ) focuses on the sustainable development of its properties and the long-term protection of the environment. The Environmental Report 2024 now summarizes the reporting in the area of environmental sustainability for the first time. Various topics from all areas of LSZ have been brought together under a uniform visual concept: from environmentally friendly construction, biodiversity and greening, heating replacement and photovoltaic systems to sustainable gastronomy and climate-friendly mobility.
The stylized house as a connecting element
The design concept is based on a graphically reduced abstract house shape and interprets it playfully and consistently across all themes and symbols. The result is a modern portrait of LSZ's environmental efforts. The images have been harmoniously integrated into the layout, providing a direct link to reality and concrete evidence of the respective topic.
Informative and inspiring in equal measure
Bright, cheerful colors and attractively illustrated symbols package the wealth of information, data and facts in a sustainable way. This means that the design can be continued in the long term and expanded to include new topics. The environmental report makes full use of the color spectrum and design palette of the city's corporate design. At the same time, the report also shows the range of possible interpretations within the urban design world.
The report can now be downloaded from the landing page of Liegenschaften Stadt Zürich. Following the review for 2024, TBS will also produce the report for 2025.
