Swissprinters launches "Media Glossary" app
With the free Media Glossary app, which can now be downloaded from iTunes, Swissprinters provides definitions and information on technical terms from the world of print and media world.
Justification and cobbler's boy, CTP and small caps, these and many other technical jargon terms can be accessed in German and French with the new free app, according to a statement from the group. The language is automatically adjusted to the iPhone's language setting. The app's content is dynamic and new terms are added regularly. The app is also available free of charge for Android devices.
Media Glossary" was developed and implemented by apprentice polygraphs from the Swissprinters Group in collaboration with sales and system technicians. They collected all the terms and created the design of the app and the icon.
According to its own information, Swissprinters is the largest group in the graphic arts industry in Switzerland with around 1,000 employees. It is a subsidiary of the media houses Ringier, NZZ and Edipress.
