Suisse Podcast Awards and festival combined into one event
Founder Dino Giglio is merging the Suisse Podcast Awards and the Suisse Podcast Festival, which were previously held in the spring and fall, respectively. The event will take place in its new combined format for the first time on March 27, 2026.
Podcasts are booming - as shown by the success of "Zivadiliring", which sold out Zurich's Hallenstadion. According to Dino Giglio, founder and owner of the Swiss podcast agency Audiokanzlei, it is all the more important to take care of the "Swiss podcast" ecosystem. The busy audio entrepreneur, who initiated the Suisse Podcast Awards, the Suisse Podcast Festival and the Suisse Podcast Academy in addition to the digital, curated platform Suisse Podcast and the DAB+ radio station of the same name, sees this as honoring and showcasing the best podcasters on the one hand and providing a stage for new podcasters and training them on the other. This is all the more important because the big media groups have pretty much slept through the podcast trend.
Giglio is now integrating the Suisse Podcast Awards into the Suisse Podcast Festival in order to strengthen its impact in communication and marketing. "In this way, we are also strengthening the appeal of our podcast hubs in the Frame by KinoKoni, which is commonly known as the Home of Podcasts," says Giglio. The latest show in his portfolio is the podcast "Hanselmann&Heller", which has made big waves in the media. It-Boy Reto Hanselmann and beauty entrepreneur Alf Heller talk about their gay and glamorous lives.
