City of Bern presents new cultural agenda

Press The city of Bern is to have a cultural agenda again. The working group set up by the city council has presented a concept for the new agenda, which is to be published fortnightly with a circulation of 15,000 copies and distributed free of charge. The budget anticipates annual costs of around CHF 776,000, of which CHF 208,000 would be raised through advertisements. The remaining CHF 568,000 will be financed by cultural institutes, the canton and the municipalities according to a distribution formula. The project is intended as a replacement for the "Ansager", the evening supplement of the Berner Zeitung and the Bund, which was discontinued in 2003.
