Spinas: Successful petition of the Climate Alliance

Doris Leuthard's 'Inner Voice" campaign has collected 107,765 signatures—with support from the Spinas Civil Voices agency.

Environment Minister Doris Leuthard has two souls in her chest. On the one hand, she immediately initiated the nuclear phase-out after Fukushima and fought courageously for the energy transition in the National Council. On the other hand, she is extremely hesitant about Switzerland's climate protection goals. That is why the Climate Alliance, made up of more than 60 Swiss NGOs, launched a signature collection of a special kind.

Since December of last year, St. Doris, the inner voice of Doris Leuthard, has been soliciting support on Facebook, Twitter and via e-mail under the motto: Please help me turn the environment minister into a climate protection patron. Because a big decision is coming up in 2015. At the end of the year, a new climate agreement must be reached at the climate conference in Paris. 107,765 people have responded to their regular calls and signed the petition for a fair climate policy for Switzerland. The handover took place on May 28 in Bern.

Now that so many supporters have taken on the role of climate conscience, St. Doris is withdrawing from the public eye and closing her social media profiles. Of course, not without thanking Doris Leuthard in an open letter for the great support and talking to her conscience one last time (see below).
