Spina's Civil Voices puts an end to power guzzlers
In the spirit of Earth Hour, Spina's Civil Voices launched a viral animation spot for WWF Switzerland. The spot is designed to put the spotlight on efficient power saving through the use of the right light sources.
Because with energy-efficient lamps, electricity consumption for lighting can be almost halved in this country, the agency said in a statement on Monday. In the commercial, a traditional light bulb does the job itself by "eating up" vast amounts of electricity in a cozy brasserie. The gluttonous, uncouth electricity guzzler knows no table manners and doesn't notice that his time is up. Finally, he literally runs out of light, topples off his chair and is dragged out the door. Its "table partner," the LED lamp, is more modest: it is sovereign, shows manners, discreetly eats only a little electricity and shines contentedly into the future, which is actually already the present.
The Zurich-based animation company Kompost realized the film.
