Scholtysik develops new brand identity for Valens rehabilitation clinic group
Switzerland’s largest group of rehabilitation clinics is now called «Valens.» The branding and design agency Scholtysik developed the brand positioning, portfolio strategy, and new name for the merged clinic group, which consists of Kliniken Valens and Zürcher Rehazentren.
The merger of the Valens clinics and the Zurich rehabilitation centers creates the largest provider of medical rehabilitation in Switzerland. The branding and design agency Scholtysik is supporting the transformation and developing the new brand identity.
"Valens" combines tradition with innovation
The new name "Valens" secures the existing brand value and at the same time creates a semantic link to the clinic group's progressive, scientifically based approach to rehabilitation - the Latin "valere" stands for "to be strong, to be healthy". The short, concise brand is easy to pronounce in all national languages.
Clear umbrella brand strategy for twelve clinics
The merger will create a group with twelve inpatient and outpatient clinics and over 2,200 employees. In future, ten clinics will operate under the "Valens" brand, while their individual strengths will remain visible. Two specifically positioned clinics will retain their independent brand identity, but will remain linked to the umbrella brand through a targeted endorsement.
