Ruf Lanz stages art storage for Welti-Furrer

Welti-Furrer, an internationally active art logistics specialist, is launching a new campaign by Ruf Lanz for its Fine Art Storage service. For the first time, the agency depicts iconic paintings in a deeply relaxed, reclining pose—as a sign that these valuable works of art can relax without worry in Welti-Furrer’s art storage facility.

Welti-Furrer has been transporting and storing works of art by every trick in the book since 1838. Museums, galleries, auction houses and private and institutional collectors entrust their valuable goods to the company. The global art logistics specialist has had its corporate communications packaged by Ruf Lanz since 2012.

The current campaign is dedicated to fine art storage. Welti-Furrer operates a large art storage facility with fluctuation-free control of temperature and humidity, sophisticated security measures and a modern nitrogen chamber for chemical-free pest control.

Iconic paintings in a relaxed pose

«Welti-Furrer's art storage facility meets the highest conservation and security standards. That's why we stage it as a place where the most expensive pieces of art history can relax without worrying,» explains Creative Director Markus Ruf.

To underline this, Ruf Lanz presents four iconic paintings for the first time in a deeply relaxed, reclining pose. Each work has been lovingly enhanced by digital artist Catherine Martin in the style of the respective era.

Campaign in the context of Art Basel

The campaign will appear in art magazines, as an art card collection and online. In June, it will also be displayed on F12 posters around Art Basel, the world's leading art fair. Due to the international orientation of the company and the art market, the campaign is in English.
