Roli Hofer: Performance for Carigiet exhibition

The Zurich State Museum is dedicating an exhibition to the children's book illustrator and artist Alois Carigiet. Roli Hofer is in charge of the promotional campaign.

Alois Carigiet (1902 - 1985) was not only a gifted children's book illustrator and author, but also a multi-talented painter, graphic artist and stage designer. He was one of the co-founders of the legendary Cabaret Cornichon in 1933. The National Museum Zurich is dedicating an exhibition to this multi-talented artist, which takes in many facets of his work and makes them accessible to adults and children.

The starting point of the tour is Carigiet's homeland, the canton of Graubünden. Visitors are immersed in the rich culture of Rhaeto-Romanic Switzerland, the world of children's books, Carigiet's graphic works and his paintings. At the end of the exhibition, film costumes and a "making of" of the current Schellen-Ursli film adaptation by Xavier Koller will be shown. The extensive supporting program includes guided tours, lectures and podiums as well as exciting activities for children and families and a specially developed program for school classes.

Roli Hofer is once again responsible for the advertising campaign. The communication concept plays with the symbol of Schellen-Ursli without showing him directly. The colorful implementation of the bell on the one hand and the elegance of the signature underline the artistic and graphic component of Carigiet's work. The iconic subject invites adults and children of all ages to experience the oeuvre of this versatile artist in a new way.

Responsible at the Landesmuseum Zurich: Andreas Spillmann (Overall Management), Marco Castellaneta (Head of Museum Operations), Peter Krebs (Head of Marketing), Carole Neuenschwander (Project Management Marketing). Responsible for Creative & Art Direction: Roli Hofer.
