Ringier remains a niche provider

Publishers The Ringier Group is not planning any takeovers in Germany. Publisher Michael Ringier told Handelsblatt that he would not be making any acquisitions in Germany and that he "would not like to be alone with a property in Germany". With the political magazine Cicero, Ringier is pursuing the strategy of a niche provider, Ringier said: "We are trying to do things that not everyone can do. That is our competitive advantage."
