Ricardo.ch strengthens Big Data competence

Data specialist Frank Block is taking over the newly created position of Chief Data Scientist at Ricardo.ch with immediate effect. In this role, the particle physicist with a PhD is a member of the Executive Board.

He is responsible for all of the company's data-related topics, such as platform personalization, big data, business intelligence, analytics and data technology, according to a statement. The company is thus setting a clear thematic focus on strategic data management.

Analyzing this data is key to making strategic decisions as a company and adapting quickly to new customer needs. Frank Block, who holds a doctorate in particle physics, has over 20 years of experience in the fields of data mining and data analysis, both as an entrepreneur and as a consultant. He is a proven specialist in the areas of Big Data Management, Customer Intelligence, Data Mining, CRM and Business Intelligence. In his role as Chief Data Scientist, he is a member of the Executive Board and reports directly to CEO Christian Kunz.
