Private radio The Rapperswil local radio station Radio Zürisee suffered a significant drop in turnover and profits in the 2002 financial year, with turnover falling by nine percent to CHF 3.65 million and profits by 60 percent to CHF 82,000. Nevertheless, Radio Zürisee intends to pay its shareholders a dividend for the first time. The station was satisfied with the cash flow of 16 percent. According to Radio Zürisee, this "acceptable level" was achieved thanks to timely cost-cutting measures and without staff reductions.
