Nevertheless, the net profit after tax amounts to CHF 3.7 million. Publisuisse closed the 2012 financial year with net sales of CHF 328 million and a decline in sales of -4 percent. Net sales from the sale of classic TV advertising for SRG programs amounted to CHF 294 million (-8 percent year-on-year). Net revenues from other business areas (TV and radio sponsorship and cross-media) amounted to CHF 34 million.

A difficult year for the Swiss advertising market

In 2012, the Swiss economy and the advertising market had to hold their own in a difficult national and international environment, Publisuisse said in its press release. New competitors entered the market, which led to a further intensification of competition. The decline in sales in 2012 was also due to the fact that the record sales in 2011 were used as an exceptionally high basis for comparison.
