Program of the Online Marketing Conference
The first online marketing conference at the University of Bern is themed: How can entrepreneurs, website operators, and online marketers better harness the potential of online marketing? The detailed program was released today.
Keynotes on current industry challenges, presentations on the topics of online marketing, search engine marketing and social media as well as opportunities to exchange experiences provide the framework for the conference. Online marketing is becoming increasingly important in research and practice. The key challenge is to use this tool effectively and efficiently.
With this in mind, the first Online Marketing Conference will be held at the University of Bern on August 23, 2013. The conference combines the latest scientific findings with leading best practices from corporate practice. This will provide conference participants with valuable ideas for their own online marketing.
The two keynotes will deal with future industry challenges in online marketing. Marina Häfliger-Stierli (Head of E-Commerce, SBB) and Patrick Comboeuf (Head of E-Business, SBB) will speak on the topic "Digital is not evil! Mobile, Social, Everything - the digital transformation of the old economy" and Peter Hogenkamp (Head of Digital Media, NZZ Media Group) will explain the "Challenges of digitization from the NZZ's perspective". The input presentation followed by a panel discussion will deal with the question of how companies, website operators and online marketers can make even better use of the potential of online marketing.
The program also includes a total of twelve presentations on the topics of online marketing, search engine marketing and social media. National and international experts, including representatives from well-known companies such as HolidayCheck, Migros, Sanitas health insurance and Scout24, will pass on their practical experience. There will also be plenty of opportunities to exchange experiences with the speakers and other participants during the networking sessions and the concluding aperitif riche. The conference is organized by the Internet agency iQual GmbH and Xovi in collaboration with the Institute of Information Systems and the Institute of Marketing and Management at the University of Bern.
