Process designs aircraft lettering for Edelweiss

The aircraft of the Swiss airline Edelweiss are getting a new design. Process has optimized the livery and reimagined brand elements such as the edelweiss flower and the red nose.

The Swiss vacation airline is expanding its fleet over the next few years. Three Airbus A340s, an A330 and an A320 will be added by 2018. Edelweiss took these new acquisitions and its 20th anniversary as an opportunity to work with Process to revise and optimize its aircraft lettering. The new design is deliberately a further development and not a revolution. Brand elements such as the red nose - which has cult status among aircraft enthusiasts - and the Edelweiss flower on the tail fin are accentuated and reinterpreted. The latter is significantly larger. A new feature is the addition of "Switzerland" below the "Edelweiss" lettering. Like the alpine flower, it underscores the airline's origins and the values associated with Switzerland, such as reliability, authenticity and familiarity.
