Pool Position and Infront Ringier part ways

Pool Position Switzerland continues to manage Swiss artists in the fields of music, comedy, entertainment, and models. Infront Ringier is further expanding its core competence by extending its business model in the areas of athlete management and testimonial marketing in sports. The athletes represented include Fabian Cancellara (cycling), Jonas Hiller (ice hockey), Lara Gut (alpine skiing), Yann Sommer (soccer), Mirjam Jäger (freestyle skiing) and Christian Schuler (wrestling).

Michael Voss, COO Ringier and Managing Director of the Ringier Entertainment Group Division, on the new organization: "Infront Ringier and Pool Position have been able to benefit a great deal from each other over the past two years and have established themselves correspondingly strongly on the market. Today, both are so well positioned that they can now further expand their core business independently of each other in their respective markets. With the organizational separation, we continue to ensure optimal management and successful marketing for artists and athletes."

Alexander Elbertzhagen, CEO of Kick-Media and Delegate of the Pool Position Board of Directors as of January 1, 2013, emphasizes: "I am very pleased that Pool Position Switzerland can now concentrate fully on entertainment issues. The cooperation with Ringier has already been excellent in the past. Now we will make Pool Position Switzerland just as successful as Pool Position Management Germany. After all, we are absolutely convinced of the potential of Swiss artists. There is tremendous talent in Switzerland that has a great future far beyond the country's borders. Our job is to turn these creative possibilities into concrete reality and measurable successes, such as the recent shoot by Zurich presenter Jonathan "Jontsch" Schächter for a TV pilot in Germany."

Armin Meier, Managing Director Infront Ringier, said: "Thanks to this reorganization, we can now further intensify our cooperation with some of the most important figureheads in Swiss sports. Infront Ringier will focus even more on its core competencies in the future and clearly position itself as a comprehensive partner of Swiss sports. For top-class sports rights holders, outstanding sports personalities as well as for advertising companies, we want to continue to establish ourselves as an innovative and reliable marketing, consulting and service partner."

As of January 1, 2013, Pool Position Switzerland will be managed by Alexander Elbertzhagen, Delegate of the Pool Position Board of Directors. Armin Meier will relinquish the management of Pool Position on this date and will continue to serve as Managing Director of Infront Ringier.
