Pentawards extends submission deadline until April 10

The Pentawards are giving participants more time: The final deadline for the prestigious 2026 packaging design competition has been extended to April 10, 2026. This means designers will have even more time to compete for the coveted Platinum awards in eight main categories.

The organizers of the Pentawards have responded to requests from the design community and extended the submission deadline for the 2026 competition. Instead of ending on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 23:59 BST, as originally planned, the submission phase will now end. This gives participants the opportunity to refine their submissions up until the new deadline.

However, the participation fees will increase as early as next Monday. The organizers therefore recommend submitting projects promptly and then optimizing them until the final deadline.

Platinum awards in eight categories

The coveted Platinum Awards are presented for outstanding designs in the main categories. This year's winners include Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ultra in the Beverages category and Pueblo by Simple Packaging Studio in the Food category.

Other winners include Avance by Gentlebrand in the Professional Concepts category and L'Entropiste by Centdegres in the Body, Health & Beauty category.

Sustainability and promoting young talent

In the Sustainable Design category, Vivomer Dropper from Shellworks won the Platinum award. The NXT Gen category, which is aimed at students, was won by Calentón Hot Sauce from The Logo Lassie.

All award-winning works will be published in the eighth edition of the Package Design Book by Taschen. The book is regarded as an important reference work for packaging designers and presents over 600 award-winning Pentawards entries.
