New X-Art course for the anniversary

X-Art, a private school for applied design in Fahrweid, Zurich, founded in 1986 by graphic designer and adjunct professor Hanspeter Paoli, will celebrate its 15th anniversary with an Open House on November 26.

X-Art, the private school for applied design founded in 1986 by graphic designer and lecturer Hanspeter Paoli in Fahrweid ZH, is celebrating its 15th anniversary on November 26 with an Open Day, during which Paoli will present the new two-year course in copywriting/design for marketing communication, which is due to start next February. With X-Art, Paoli wants to close the gap between art schools, where he has noticed an underemphasis on computer applications, and computer schools, where technical rather than creative skills are taught. The Pièce de Résistance, the Electronic Publisher diploma course and the Multimedia Designer and Creative Year courses will be supplemented by the new course.
According to Paoli, the course content includes "everything prospective professionals need to know and be able to do for the development and implementation of advertising campaigns in print and AV media". Together they attend the specialist blocks marketing and advertising planning, communication science, creativity techniques, law and visualization. In addition, there is specific course content such as vision/design, typography or interactive systems/multimedia for the designers and linguistics, language design or texts for various media and applications for the copywriters.
